1 Week until Thanksgiving Break, 4 Weeks of Instruction to Exams, 5 Weeks of School to Christmas


Thank you to all who had a part in and/or attended the Veteran’s Day program.  The JROTC program did an outstanding job of orchestrating the event.  The Band was superior! Aeyanna Lucero was magnificent in her performance of the National Anthem!  Proud of the attention to detail and respect paid to our Veterans!

The Sunshine Committee:

Purchased subs for our Veterans on staff Friday for lunch.  Thank you to the committee for finding ways to honor our staff throughout the year!

I received a letter from the National Center on Educational Outcomes thanking Jean Sherlock for participating in an Accommodations Study funded by the FL Department of Education.  The meeting focused on accommodations for SAT/ACT/FSA/EOC exams and the potential for using SAT/ACT scores in place of current Florida high school assessments.  Thank you Jean for representing OHS and the District!

OHS Brahman Marching Band: 11th consecutive Superior rating at the FBA Marching Band Music Performance Assessment. They have this week to prep for the State Marching Band Championship in Tampa, November 18th.


OHS Swimming results from Regional @ FGCU on Saturday Nov. 4th

Here are the official results from Saturday's Regional meet.  All of our swimmers did an excellent job at the meet.

Each swimmer dropped time from where they were previously seated at from Districts.  “I could not be any prouder of their hard work and dedication.”  Coach Jones

2018-2019 IRSC Scholarship Application Flyer (click this link)

IRSC is excited to inform you the 2018-2019 IRSC Online Scholarship Application is NOW OPEN for incoming and current students.  All students must apply to IRSC as a student or be a currently enrolled dual enrollment student with an IRSC student ID and RiverMail prior to completing an Online Scholarship Application.  If an applicant applies to become a new student at IRSC, they must wait three business days for their information to be integrated into the Online Application System.
