We hope for your full and continued cooperation by having your compliance with these simple, but necessary procedures.
Students owing fines and/or fees for books, Chromebooks, uniforms, yearbook ads, band fees, etc. will not be able to receive your graduation tickets nor participate in graduation exercises until all monies owed have been paid. Please pay in cash.
CAP AND GOWN
Cap and Gown packages will be distributed after returning from breakfast on Friday, May 11, 2018. Seniors will report to the Main Office Conference Room to pick up caps and gowns. You will need to wear the cap and gown for both Baccalaureate and Graduation Exercises. Gowns should be taken home and placed on a hanger. DO NOT IRON THE GOWNS, STEAM ONLY. Medals, stoles, and honor cords awarded at Awards Night are the only adornments for the graduation gown. Boys will need to purchase a black tie to wear with a white collared shirt. Caps should be placed on the head so the cap (mortarboard) is level, with the tassel on the right side. The front of the cap will be indicated on the inside. Caps are not to be worn on the back of the head. Caps may be tastefully decorated but will come apart and not go back together if the button on the top is removed. Graduation is a milestone in that the graduate is embarking on life as an adult, thus the term Commencement is used to refer to the ceremony. Graduates are beginning a new stage of their lives. It is traditional that the ceremony be marked by seriousness of purpose as well as by a degree of formality. Loud, boisterous remarks by either graduates or their guests are entirely inappropriate.
