Broward Teen Assistance program (BTAP) is a non-for-profit tax exempt 501(c)3
organization designated by the Internal Revenue Service. BTAP is dedicated to
providing educational, health awareness and social advancement services
for youth. BTAP recognizes that there is a great need for assistance for

The mission of BTAP is to work alongside community staples like churches,
businesses, schools and other organizations to encourage our youth to
expand their
minds. Our vision and commitment will be recognized and credited for
helping many
teens reach their full potential.

The primary goals for our food program is to meet the food needs of youth in
communities through food distribution. This will also be a great
opportunity to
outreach locally and provide the assistance to better make food available
for youth, and it will also improve access to food as part of a
comprehensive service. Our food program will also serve a purpose of
increasing the self-reliance of a community in providing food needs of its

We are looking for high school students who wish to volunteer locally in
Okeechobee at a south florida food service site. At this site youth will
be provided free lunch. And student volunteers will have the opportunity
MondayFriday(June 12-August 18) to help with daily set-up, distribute
food ,and clean up during the hours of 10:45am- 1:30pm.

Student volunteers will be given the opportunity to earn additional hours
for getting more of their friends and family members(under 18 years of
age)involved by coming to receive food or to volunteer.
